The 2025 Europe & Asia Triathlon Championships in Istanbul brought together elite and amateur athletes from two continents for a spectacular race crossing the Bosphorus. I covered the event, capturing both the age-group competitions and the Asian women’s championship, where athletes battled through the swim in the strait, the bike leg over the bridge linking Europe and Asia, and the run through Istanbul’s historic streets. The atmosphere was electric — a celebration of endurance, unity, and the unique spirit of this city between two worlds.
